Sixth meeting of all Partners institutions participating in Joint Tempus project “Restructuring of study programme in architecture to long-cycle integrated master in line with EU standards” was held at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica, on 9th and 10th of June 2014.
Main topics of the meeting were:
- Presentation of achieved RESARCH project results, including the realization of prepared exhibition
- Quality assurance
- Evaluation of educators’ scientific and professional results
- Methodology for project dissemination
- Erasmus Plus project proposals
- Discussion about forthcoming project activities.
Day 1 – 9th of June
Morning meeting was held in the meeting room at Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica. Following participants were present:

The meeting was opened by Doc Dr. Saja Kosanović, Chief of Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica Prof. Dr Nebojša Arsić, Dean of the Faculty, then gave welcome speech.
The themes of the meeting were introduced. Miloš Subotić from Office for International Relations at UPKM gave the presentation about the University of Pristina settled in Kosovska Mitrovica, its history and contemporary structure, organization and activities. Major part of the presentation of Mr Subotić was related to the quality assurance at UPKM. Procedures and evaluation methodology were discussed in detail and results of Tempus PIQAS project were presented. Copies of the printed books about the University of Priština settled in Kosovska Mitrovica and about Quality assurance at UPKM were distributed to the participants.
Doc. Dr Jelena Đokić gave the presentation about Quality culture. Accent on the social aspect of the presented issue offered unique approach and added a lot of value to the meeting in general.Next presentation about the evaluation of educators’ scientific and professional results was given by prof. dr Dušan Đurđević, who in the interesting way gave very comprehensive overview on history of evaluation procedures around the globe and nationally, and met the participants with different developed methodologies and practices.
Lecturer Anita Janković from Faculty of Philosophy at UPKM presented the methodology for comprehensive project dissemination and pointed the ways for successful results distribution. By doing this, Janković also presented the successful practice applied in Tempus BLATT project.
The discussion followed after every given presentation, and the interest among the participants for ongoing topics was high.
Mr Goran Lazić from Erasmus Plus office in Mitrovica then explained new possibilities for application to Erasmus Plus Programmes and thus gave very useful information to all present participants.
During the following tour de table discussion, achieved results of RESARCH project were analyzed and the overall plan for forthcoming project activities was set.
Upon the end of morning meeting, participants took walking tour through the Faculty of Technical Sciences, including library, laboratories and computer classrooms. Working lunch was organized in the University restaurant.
In the afternoon, the preparations for forthcoming exhibition opening followed. Electronic presentations with works of representatives of all RESACH partner institutions were synchronized and set. At the same time, final check of posters representing the works of students of architecture at Faculty of Technical Sciences, placed at the Hall of the Faculty, was made.
The opening of both exhibitions under common name “2 x 1” started at 19 00 hrs. Host speaker was Doc. Dr Saja Kosanović, Chief of Department of Architecture at Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica. Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr Nebojša Arsić, presented the host institution. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, Prof. Peter Gabrijeličič, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, Prof. Dr Dušan Vuksanović, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning in Riga, Prof. Dr Ugis Bratuškins and Prof. Dr Ioannis Kiousopoulos from Technological Educational Institute in Athens then presented their contributing institutions. Finally, the opening of exhibitions was announced by Vice Rector of UPKM, Prof. Tomislav Trifić.
The opening of “2 x 1” exhibition was well visited. Students, professors, representatives of local institutions, organizations and companies, representatives from UPKM Rectorate and other Faculties, citizens of Kosovska Mitrovica and media representatives were all there; this was, to say, the event of importance for whole local community. New accredited study programmes in architecture and the RESEARCH project in general were promoted; printed brochures and other promo material were disseminated.
Upon opening and cocktail, the dinner in Zavičaj restaurant nearby Kosovska Mitrovica followed.
DAY 2 – 10th of June
The third part of the meeting (after closed meeting session and exhibition on the previous day) was organized as whole day bus tour, where the participants had a chance to meet with the past and contemporary urban-architectural highlights of different parts of Kosovo. Travelling in the bus between two stops was used for discussion about the different details in RESARCH activities. Finally, the day was very productive and inspiring. On the way back to Mitrovica, the meeting was concluded and the next one appointed. The seventh meeting of RESARCH Consortium will be held in Riga.
